By reserving a pass you will be providing your library card barcode, your name, zip code and library patron type.
After reserving your pass, participating cultural institutions will receive the following information:
your first name and last initial
home library system
pass ID number
type of pass
and reservation date
Participation in NYC Culture Pass is free, however if you print your pass from a Brooklyn Public Library or New York Public Library branch you’ll need to ask a library employee to waive the printing fee. Printing is free at all Queens Public Library branches.
Patrons must be at least 13 years of age to reserve a pass in the NYC Culture Pass program (participating cultural institutions may have additional age restrictions).
A full service library card from Brooklyn Public Library, New York Public Library or Queens Public Library is required to participate. Ecards and out of state cards will not be accepted.
Patrons can have up to four active reservations per library card at a time.
Patrons can make reservations up to one month in advance.
Once a patron has retrieved a pass, the reservations cannot be canceled.
Patrons will be able to reserve one pass per year at each participating institution.
All passes must be used by the person named on the reservation and on the date specified, unless otherwise indicated on the pass.
Patrons with a pass can bring one guest. Some participating institutions may allow patrons to bring up to three guests. Theaters or other sites with fixed seating may limit to one guest per pass. The number of guests allowed will be specified on the pass when the reservation is made.
Participating cultural institutions may require ID from patrons. IDs that are acceptable to prove identity of the pass holder include:
Current New York State driver’s license
Current New York State driver’s permit
Current New York State identification card
Current IDNYC municipal card
Current school photo ID*
Current report card*
Working papers*
*Only acceptable for patrons between the ages of 13 and 16.
